I had the opportunity to be part of the Pandiyanaadu tour organized by HERITAGE TOURISM and it was a well-organized and enriching experience.
Despite being familiar with many of the locations around Madurai, this tour offered a completely different perspective by connecting the places with their historical and cultural significance. The highlight of the journey was the detailed explanations provided by Mr. Maridhu Pandiyan from the Archaeological Department.
The overall coordination, travel arrangements, and planning by the team were smooth and efficient. The group dynamic also made the journey enjoyable, creating a friendly and engaging atmosphere throughout.

The Chozha Heritage Trip organised by Sandhiya was truly exceptional. From the start of the journey till the very end, she maintained a warm, positive, and welcoming vibe. She treated everyone not as participants, but like close friends she had known for years, which made the entire trip feel comfortable and family-like.
Bringing in a senior person in field like Ayyampettai N. Selvaraj Sir, a Chozha researcher and President of the Chola Historical Research group, was truly commendable. Listening to him explain temple scriptures and read stone inscriptions directly at the sites was a rare and enriching experience. We were genuinely blessed to learn from someone of his stature.
Additionally, being taken to the first floor of Gangai Konda Chozhapuram and Thanjavur Periya Kovil with ASI permission to explore the Vimana was mind-blowing and truly a once in a lifetime opportunity 🙏
The stay arrangements were also excellent. Both Indeco Hotels, Swamimalai and Desadhan Chozha at Thanjavur offered great hospitality. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food arrangements were very well planned and satisfying.
Thankyou heritage team for giving us a life time experience that we will cherish forever 🙏

An eye-opening and deeply enriching heritage tour. Learning about the Cholas—their history, architecture, sculptures, and inscriptions—was truly inspiring. Visiting Gangaikonda Cholapuram, Darasuram, Airavatesvara, and the Brihadeeswara Temple made me realise how profound and under-appreciated our heritage is. One of the most engrossing tour I have went on. Santhiya and other experts went into detailed explanations on chola dynasty and their architecture.. they were patient im explaining small nuances about what has happened 1000 years ago.. Heritage tourism arranged excellent hotels and made sure we had a comfortable stay. I recommend this tour to history buffs and also spiritual minded folks..

It was an excellent experience. More than a spiritual trip, we got to know the historical aspects of the place visited. Renowned archeologists were arranged by the tour organisers to explain the archeological aspects, complexity of sculptures and to read the stone inscriptions. It was a whole another experience which was enlightening. I would definitely recommend heritage tourism for everyone.
